Research Operations Project Manager

This role reports directly to VP, Scientific Strategy and Operations and this individual will have a solid background of theoretical and practical knowledge in the biological sciences consistent with having a working understanding of Ascidian’s programs and technologies. With the primary responsibility of helping teams build operational plans that include deliverables and associated budgets, this position requires an in-depth understanding of project planning, objective setting in the form of deliverables, while exercising a customer-centric focus. Excellent communication skills and proficiency with available project tracking and communication tools are required to support the position’s goals.

Your Role:

  • Directing project tracking and monitoring
  • Assisting in preparation of project team reports, regulatory documentation and/or presentations
  • Coordinating and supporting team meetings, along with relevant follow-up to sustain stakeholder engagement
  • Coordinates core team to identify and implement continuous improvement
  • Contribute to defining project strategies, developing goals, and ensuring that project scope is defined and can be implemented
  • Implement best practices in meeting execution, documentation, data archiving and other activities
  • Continuously interacts with all functions and levels of management ensuring effective ongoing communications across teams and stakeholders
  • Support the development and management of external CRO contracts and strategic collaborations
  • Anticipate potential conflict situations to enable proactive solutions in advance and manages conflict situations if they are to occur resulting in win-win outcomes

General Requirements:

  • BS Required, MS in STEM field and/or an MBA desired. Minimum of 5 years of progressively more responsible research work experience, with project management experience desired
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with excellent follow through, professional communication, and attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail, with proven ability to handle multiple tasks effectively
  • Professional competency in MS EXCEL – Pivot table - able to create professional reports
  • Professional competency in Google Workspace- google sheets, google docs, etc.
