Job Summary 

GentiBio is seeking motivated Senior Associate Scientists to join our Discovery team in Boston. The successful candidates will conduct in vivo Proof-of-Concept (PoC), validation, and pharmacology studies to support multiple preclinical programs. We are searching for enthusiastic individuals who are passionate about in vivo discovery and solving complex problems. This role offers exposure to an organizational and company build, leadership, and ample opportunities to be a high-impact trailblazer in the emerging field of regulatory T-cell therapy. 

Job Responsibilities 

  • Foster the culture of seeking and giving help, inclusion, authenticity, and fun 
  • Execute in vivo studies to support discovery and preclinical development efforts 
  • Perform efficacy and mode of action (MoA) studies using various rodent autoimmune models 
  • Perform intravenous and intraperitoneal injections and collect and process tissue samples (e.g., blood, spleen, lymph node) for ex vivo studies 
  • Support downstream experiments, including immune cell phenotyping and cytokine analyses 
  • Assist with vivarium operations and perform routine measurements and health monitoring 
  • Ensure data collection is captured in electronic laboratory notebooks and databases 
  • Perform data analysis, summarize results in study reports, and provide regular updates at internal meetings 

Qualifications and Education Requirements 

  • BS in biological sciences or related field and 5+ years of relevant industry experience OR
  • MS in relevant field with 2+ years of industry experience 
  • Hands-on experience working with animal models of autoimmunity, inflammation and/or cancer
  • Experience with vivarium operations and mice colony maintenance 
  • Experioence with IV (tail vein) and IP and RO delivery of reagents/biologics required 
  • Experience with intranasal injection or tracheal inoculation strongly desired 
  • Familiarity with blood collection techniques (e.g., RO and cardiac puncture)  
  • Experience or interest in learning cell culture and in vitro assays 
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, GraphPad Prism, and ELN/LIMS for data entry, analysis, and presentation 
  • Strong attention to detail and demonstrated ability to execute experiments with rigor and maintain clear and complete records of lab work 
  • Exceptional teamwork and communication skills with the ability to embrace change and multi-task in a fast-growing environment
